Annie is ready for Church; so this is a couple of weeks after we had an 'explosive' Sunday. We were all ready for church, all healthy and ready to attend our classes and have a great Sunday of learning and being together. Then we sat down at church, the organ started to play, we all started to sing... then Annie started to vomit everywhere. Vomit smile, vomit smile.... she stopped smiling once we were in the car and she threw up 3 more times in a 5 min. car ride. She pointed to her dress, as if to say "uhhh, there is a mess all over me and I don't like the way I smell". She went home took a very happy bath, then proceeded to empty her stomach the rest of the afternoon. Archie has been very concerned each Sunday as we go to sit down; "is Annie going to throw up? Is she sick? I don't like it when she throws up." Any time she coughs, makes a mess, says "uh-oh" Archie is on it: "MOM I think Annie is throwing up!" She is not. But we recently learned that there is an actual phobia of throwing up, I am pretty sure I have it, being pregnant is the best and the worst, I love babies, I hate throwing up. I think Archie has it too-- or else he is reacting to my terrifying reactions of the 'throw-ups' ( I may over react a tad when there is vomit anywhere near me, or on me, or near my smelling radius, or in my line of vision, or in my auditory range). Needless to say we have since had many successful church goings without any vomit.
This was our 'red-shirt day'. It all started with Annie, then Archie wanted to match her, then he insisted that I wear a red shirt and we do all of our errands with our red shirts on. I didn't think people would notice. They did. Archie was very pleased.
The international Wildlife museum- a glorified Bean Museum. A whole lot of stuffed animals in realistic situations-- wolves eating caribou, polar bears roaring etc. I tried to explain that the animals were real but not alive-- it was a difficult concept but I think we all mostly understood, except for Annie, it is like she is a one year old or something... It was AWESOME, the kids had a lot of fun, but were slightly disappointed that the animals were not alive. But that makes the picture below possible.
Crocodile. Archie's head inside of his mouth.
Outside of the museum. Annie was ready to climb all over it, I think it has something to do with her big brother's example...
Our girl.
Shaving cream on the kitchen table. One of the best activities, according to Arch. He taught Annie how to enjoy it, and she quickly learned that she should not eat it.
My friend Dawn took me out to Dinner to the Melting Pot for my birthday! This was the dessert the restaurant gave me. I should have taken a picture of the two of us, but we were so busy eating that I completely forgot. Artichoke, spinach, cheese fondue, salad, veggies, shrimp, fillet mignon, chocolate caramel fondue... it was amazing. Thank you DAWN!!
Archie found Ben's motorcycle helmet.
The profile shot makes him look like Darth Vader from SpaceBalls!
My guy at the giraffe exhibit.
An albino peacock showing his feathers. It was pretty cool and we just happened to be in the right place at the right time. There were peacocks all over the zoo wandering around where ever they wanted, it was beautiful.
I could not get Annie to look at the camera, not once. So this will have to do.
And this.
Archie the giant turtle.
Pointing at the peacocks, she loved them. It was a great day at the zoo- we had so much fun running around seeing all of the animals and just taking our time. We rode the train at lunch at McDonald's, it was a slightly cloudy 60 degree day, perfect.
